Beskrivelse
The nature in Salvebo is characterized by oak forest in the ravines and oak and pine forest on the plateaus. A stream also runs through the reserve. Large parts of the area are very hilly and offer a challenge to the adventurous hiker. There are also areas in the reserve that are easier to navigate, although there are no marked trails.
In the western part of the reserve, a stream flows beautifully through the area, with plenty of oak and hazel growing around it. You can find the stream at the beginning of the area and follow it up the slopes, you can also choose to walk along the gravel road that runs parallel to the stream up the hill. Here you can sit down for a while and enjoy the peace and quiet. The area around the stream used to be meadowland, which may also explain why there is so much hazel growing here. In the south-western part of the area there is a beautiful stone bridge to look at.
Interesting lichens and mosses
For those interested in lichens and mosses, there are several exciting species to look out for. In Salvebo, there are plenty of mussel lichen and trap moss to study. The species rust spot and grainy felt lichen have also been found here.
A hilly area
Scrubby, old oaks grow in the cliff and scree slopes, together with mainly pine. The cliffs are large boulders and rise high above the stream valley and the old meadow. A hilly challenge for an adventurous hiker who appreciates getting around in nature without marked trails.

Bus: To get to the reserve by bus. Take the bus towards stop: Rågdal.Car: From Kungsbacka you drive about 3 kilometers north on Göteborgsvägen (road 970) then turn east on Älvsåkersvägen (road 980). After about 9 kilometers the reserve is on the left side.Parking is not available. You are responsible for ensuring that your car is not parked inappropriately or in the way in any way.
Forskrifter
To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.
In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:
- damage living or dead standing or lying trees and bushes,
- damage, pick or collect vascular plants, mosses, lichens or fungi other than picking
- berries, edible fungi and single specimens
- planting plant or animal species alien to the area
- set up a caravan or motorhome in the reserve between 22-06,
- drive a motorized vehicle other than on a constructed road. The prohibition does not apply to
- hunting rights holders when transporting moose, deer or wild boar, provided that driving does not take place
- in terrain closer than 10 meters from a stream, see map 2B,
- make a fire,
- erecting a board, poster, sign, signpost or making an inscription,
- bring an unleashed dog with the exception of hunting with dogs or for searching,
- without the permission of the County Administrative Board:
- use traps intended for invertebrates, and
- organize camp activities or competitions.
