Beskrivelse
Joastorp is a scenic area with oak forest in the southeast and more open pastures with old large trees in the northwest. These two parts are linked by a beautiful and well-kept lane. It is relatively easy to get around in the area. The reserve is beautiful to visit all year round, in summer you can enjoy a beautiful green landscape and in winter, if the snow has not fallen, you can look for cultural-historical traces.
The oak forest is home to a couple of red-listed beetles that prefer lying dead wood in a slightly semi-open forest. There are clear traces of human presence throughout history. There are graves from the Iron Age, around a hundred cairns, terraces and rock carvings in the form of bowl pits.
Easy to get around in the area
It is relatively easy to get around the area, the most challenging area is the oak-covered mountain in the south. There is a path that runs through parts of the area and there are roads that make it easy to see large parts of the reserve. In the reserve you can walk and look at an older agricultural landscape. In summer, it is good to be careful and show consideration when the grazing animals are out.
