Beskrivelse
The peninsula is, as the name suggests, a peninsula and is located in the northern part of Skärsjö. It is mainly heather forest, but there are also elements of spruce and birch. The terrain is hilly and rocky. There are no paths, but visitors who manage to make their way through the reserve's challenging terrain can enjoy undisturbed views of Skärsjön.
There are valuable structures in the area, such as old, coarse trees, flames and stumps. Red-listed lichens and mosses grow on the older beech trees in the reserve. Six red-listed species and nine regionally interesting species have been found in the area, including large bud lichen, beech lichen and giant sponge moth. Barley moss is abundant and can be found on at least 50 tree trunks. With a bit of luck, you may even spot a wood pigeon.

The peninsula is located in Falkenberg municipality. Directions: Drive east from Vessigebro towards Drängsered. After 4 km turn left towards Krogsered, after another 1.7 km turn left. Follow the small road for about 3.6 km and then turn left down towards the lake (400 m). It is possible to park here, but the terrain is difficult and it is hard to get from the parking lot to the reserve.
Forskrifter
To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.
In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:
- damage living or dead standing or lying trees and bushes,
- damage, pick or collect vascular plants, mosses, lichens or fungi, except when picking berries, edible mushrooms and single specimens
- planting species alien to the area
- camping for more than two days
- bring an unleashed dog, except when hunting with a dog or for searching,
- driving a motorized vehicle
- putting up a picture, poster, sign or inscription.
In addition, it is forbidden without the permission of the County Administrative Board:
- use traps intended for invertebrates, and
- organize camp activities or competitions.
