Storjungfrun, Naturreservat

Storjungfrun offers a wide variety of land types, from bare rocks, shingle fields and dry boulder-rich moraine soils to limestone-affected fertile soils and several wetlands. The small islands around Storjungfrun are of great importance as resting places for migratory birds and nesting sites for several bird species.

The island also has several cultural-historical values. Among other things, there is a chapel built in the 17th century and remains and traces of old ports, the oldest founded as early as the 16th century, as well as Sweden's last coal-fired lighthouse.

The area is located 10 kilometers southeast of Ljusne

Go to Storjungfrun by taxi boat.

The taxi boat leaves Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, booked in connection with the cottage booking. Departure from Stenö pier about 14:00.

On the return trip, the boat departs about 15:15 from Storjungfrun.

• Dogs or other pets must be kept on a leash during the period March 1 - August 20.
• Do not disturb wildlife in any way.
• Do not light fires other than in designated areas.
• Do not damage the ground, vegetation or dry trees.
• Take rubbish home with you.
