Stollbergs gruvor Väster Silfberg

The Stollberg mining area is an old mining area where you can look out over the expanse.

Väster Silfberg, or Stollberg's mining field, is 5 km long and stretches from Schisshyttan in the north to Silfhyttan in the south. Here there are nice hiking trails, nice resting facilities with barbecue area, shelter and tc and on the top of the mountain, the association Väster Silfbergs vänner has built a viewing tower in the form of a lava with a mile-wide view and you can see both to Smedjebacken and to Ludvika.

Stollberg's mines are included as a visitor destination in the Ecomuseum Bergslagen and storytelling & fun evenings are organized by the association.
