Dala-Floda Kyrkbro

With its 158 m span, it is the longest wooden suspension bridge in Sweden. The bridge was built in 1922 and replaced the previous floating bridge that was destroyed in the flood of 1916. The wooden suspension bridge was destroyed by a fire in 1980, but was rebuilt and inaugurated by the royal couple on May 18, 1983.

At Kyrkbron you are in the middle of Dala-Floda with a number of trails within reach. If you cross the bridge from the church, you will find Hjort-Olar's popular café a few hundred meters walk to the left if you have the church in the back.

On the church side you will find ICA, fuel, charging, Flokullorans restaurant and on the shore of Lake Flosjön is the inn with the restaurant Byns skafferi. Along the village road in Dala-Floda it is beautiful with further attractions and flea market in the summer.

There is white water rafting, canoeing and swimming a short distance away. There are several nice hiking trails just around the corner.

The Perjons Foundation has a museum with the village artist Per-Hilding Perjons paintings in a beautiful setting. It is clearly worth looking up in the village of Hagen a few kilometers from the church. If you continue the road through Hagen, you will come to Wålstedt's farm with bread and organic vegetables for sale.
