Stjernsunds slottspark

The castle park is open all year round. In the park there is an orangery with exhibitions in summer. Stjernsund Castle is beautifully situated on a headland in Alsen, just south of Askersund. It is considered one of Sweden's most beautiful castles with water on three sides and a rare well-preserved interior from the 1850s, when the royal family Bernadotte owned the castle. The castle and farm are also known for their cattle breeding and are the home of the SRB - Swedish red-brown cattle. Guided tours of the castle are conducted daily from mid-May to the end of August.
