Reserve on kolme kilometriä luoteeseen Alsenista. Östersundista ajatte Näldenin tai Trångsvikenin kautta Kougstaan. Kougstasta ajetaan 1,5 kilometriä metsäteitä luoteeseen.

Welcome to Lill-Stensjön. Keep in mind that it is not allowed within the reserve:

• make fires, except in specially designated places
• capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
• climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, roost or burrow
• damaging the ground, boulders or vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
• felling growing or dead trees, removing or processing windfalls and dead wood
• picking and collecting natural products (such as wood fungi, lichens and mosses) except berries and edible mushrooms
• collecting invertebrates, such as beetles and land molluscs
• drive motorized vehicles off-road throughout the area
• carry out organized activities such as sports events, tourist activities, hunting trials, visits by large groups, etc. without the permission of the County Administrative Board. The permit requirement does not apply to groups of fewer than 15 people who engage in traditional hiking and touring on individual occasions.

Paragraph 2 does not prevent the practice of hunting, except for beaver. Point 8 does not prevent the off-road transportation of felled moose or bear by vehicle. This presupposes that vehicles with low ground pressure are used and that the shortest and most suitable route for transport is chosen.
