Turförslag Tre järnverk (MTB)

Högbo - Brattfors - Jädraås, three places that were important in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. This tour takes you around to these places and the history that still remains to marvel at.

**Högbo

This is where Göran Fredrik Göransson started what would later become Sandvik. In beautiful surroundings there are now about 15 mountain bike trails, café restaurants, mountain bike rental and hotels.

Brattfors (and Ockelbo)

In Brattfors outside Ockelbo there are remains of a mumbling hammer left to visit. Brattfors is located a few kilometers outside Ockelbo, in Ockelbo you follow the signposted trail that runs along an old railway embankment. In Ockelbo there are shops, pharmacies, restaurants and cafés.

In Ockelbo there is also Wij Trädgårdar with accommodation and restaurant and a bit outside the village the moose park which is worth a visit.

**Jädraås

Jädraås mill was founded in 1857 by the then owner of Ockelboverken - Joh. Alb. Salomon Åberg - and the business was not closed until the 40s (the smelter in the 30s). At the end, Jädraås was the only smelter Ockelboverken still used. You can still visit the smelter and forge here. In the summer, steam train tours run on Sundays, and there is a lot of nice nature to discover. You stay at STF Jädraås Herrgård.

Both between Högbo and Brattfors (via Medskogssjön) and between Brattfors and Jädraås it is a nice trip along trails and gravel roads, the stage between Jädraås and Kungsberget is more challenging with more technical trails and more altitude meters
