Västra Vätterleden

Welcome to a varied hike in a lovely forest landscape. The stage contains many different types of nature and passes both Lake Vättern and several beautiful sparkling forest lakes. From time to time you can stop at historically interesting places such as Granvik's and Forsvik's mill environments and others. The trail is ideal for shorter walks and can also be combined with other stages for a really long hike. There is a wide range of alternative accommodation and other services.

This wonderfully varied stage goes through a beautiful forest landscape crossed by ridges and smaller mountain ridges. The terrain is hilly in places, but can still be seen as a typical Central Swedish landscape. The trail follows good paths and sometimes a low-traffic road. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Västra Vätterleden is marked with orange color on trees, poles and arrows.
