Östra leden

The eastern trail goes through the heart of the island, down to Djuröstugan. One kilometer away, approximately. Halfway to the cottage is the so-called Ängen, which is an open glade of former farmland.

At Djuröstugan the trail turns off to both east and west. The eastern trail, which follows the road back to the main entrance, is the quieter side of Djurö. Here the water is shallower, with islands, islets and skerries to rest your eyes on. You also pass the so-called Jaktvillan.
