Hillareds Kyrka is a medieval church from the 12th century. The church has been renovated several times over the years.

About the church

The church is dated to the 12th century. The original church was smaller than the current one. Over the years, the church has also served as a defense during war years.

The oldest inventory in the church is probably the baptismal font in limestone, which is believed to date from the time the church was built. The walls of the church are decorated with the coats of arms of the Liliehöök and von Schedwin families.
