Description
On Djurö you can enjoy the isolated and beautiful location in the middle of Lake Vänern. The lake archipelago consists of about 35 islands and a number of small skerries. No other archipelago in the country is so isolated and it is precisely the seclusion that appeals. The islands' bare rocks, shingle beaches and rich birdlife are typical features of Swedish inland nature. Greylag geese, oystercatchers, oystercatchers and ospreys nest here. Visitors can follow a marked path around the island.
