Description

The Delsjö area in eastern Gothenburg is an approximately 1,370-hectare recreational area that is popular with over a million visitors every year. Bird life is rich in the lakes and ponds in the area. Among other things, there are nesting moorhens and grebes in Svarttjärn. Parts of the area are a nature reserve and there are special rules for what you can and cannot do. The popular Skatås exercise center is located here.

The western part of the Delsjö area is mainly deciduous mixed forest with a large proportion of oak. The eastern parts of the area are dominated by mountain ridges.
