Description
Torpsten is a rocky knoll that rises 25 meters above the surrounding flat landscape. The path up to the lookout point is partly difficult to find as a lot has been cut down in the forest between the road and the mountain. Here you can see the remains of a fortified castle probably built in the Iron Age (500 BC - 1050 AD) The easiest way to get up to Fornborgen is to go up the Trolltrappan. Once up in the castle, it is good with a little coffee, here are a few really old pines and spruces.
Flora: On the way up to the ancient castle, you are likely to find trees with beard lichen.

Parking
There is no organized parking space at the ancient monument. If you are on a bike ride, you can easily park your bike and walk about 1 km, to the lookout at Torpsten.
Directions
From Sköldby there is a sign: Fornminne. It is good to have the nature map to orient yourself, as the path is no longer visible all the way (due to felled forest).
