Nice walking loop in the Åsby-Skantzen area. The loop goes past the artificial lake Skantzsjön and goes along Strömsholm's canal and in Sörkvarnsforsen's nature reserve. The loop runs on existing footpaths and cycle paths in the area and on both paved and gravel paths. The loop lacks trail markings.
In the area there are opportunities for coffee / food at Skantzen Kanal café and Åsby Hem & Trädgård. During the summer, guided tours are organized at Skantzen where you can take part in Strömsholm's canal and Hallstahammar's history.
