Skommarmossen is located 1.5 miles south-southwest of Skinnskatteberg. Drive from the intersection of road 233 and Centralvägen in Skinnskatteberg towards Västerås. Drive 2 kilometers. Turn right at the sign "Uttersberg 8" and "Köping 41". Drive 15 kilometers on road 250 to Karmansbo. Turn right at the sign "Näverkärret 15". Drive 6 kilometers. Turn right onto a small gravel road. Drive about 1 kilometer. When you arrive at a turnaround, there is a parking lot and you are inside the reserve.

There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.

It is forbidden to:

• dig, hack, carve, paint or otherwise damage the surface of the ground or solid natural objects,
• drive a motorized vehicle on the terrain,
• bring an unleashed dog or other stray pet,
• ride a bicycle or horse on the terrain
• damaging living or dead trees and shrubs and damaging vegetation or natural objects in general, for example by collecting plants, fungi or lichens, with the exception of edible fungi and berries
• collecting insects or other invertebrates
• trapping, killing or removing animals, climbing nest trees, removing eggs or nests or otherwise deliberately disturbing wildlife
• introduce new plant or animal species into the area
• use the area for organized competitions or exercises, camps or similar activities
• put up a board, sign, poster, orientation control or permanently mark out tracks.
