The nature reserve is located about 2.5 kilometers north of Sala. You can reach the area by car or by bike. From Sala, follow road 835 towards Saladamm. After about 1.8 kilometers from the railway crossing in Sala, turn left towards Gudmundstorp. Where the road makes a 90-degree turn after about 850 meters you go straight ahead on a smaller gravel road, Snarpsätravägen. After another 300 meters the road splits, then keep right. You now have the nature reserve on your right, a little later also on your left. After another 700 meters you will reach the reserve's parking lot on the right side. From here you can follow the marked path that leads into the reserve.

There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.

In addition to what otherwise applies, it is forbidden to:

• dig, hack, carve, paint or otherwise damage the earth's surface or other fixed natural objects such as rocks and boulders,
• damaging living or dead trees and shrubs and damaging vegetation in general, for example by collecting mosses, fungi or lichens, with the exception of edible mushrooms for domestic use
• collecting insects or other invertebrates
• erecting a board, sign, poster or permanently marking out tracks or similar,

In addition, it is prohibited without the permission of the County Administrative Board:

• use the area for organized competitions and exercises, camp activities or similar where the number of participants exceeds 500 people.
