The Acktjärnsåsarna nature reserve is located about 5 kilometers northwest of Ramnäs. By car from Ramnäs take road 667 west, cross highway 66 and then continue on road 233 towards Skinnskatteberg. After about 4 kilometers turn right, onto Skogsmursvägen. After another 3 kilometers, just before Sandtorp, turn left and continue this road for another 1 kilometer to reach the parking lot on the right side of the road.

You can also reach the reserve by walking along the so-called Kyrkstigen from Muren (from the west) or via Bruksleden from Ulvsbomuren (from the north) or from Naddtorpsvägen (from the south).

Welcome to visit the nature reserve!

There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.

It is forbidden to:

dig, cut, carve, paint or otherwise damage the surface of the ground or solid natural objects such as rocks and boulders,

break branches, cut down or damage living or dead trees and bushes,

pick, dig up or damage mushrooms, lichens, mosses, herbs or other plants, except for the picking of single specimens. Berries and edible mushrooms may be picked for domestic use,

collect insects or other invertebrates, except for collecting or picking single individuals for species identification, which may be killed and taken out of the nature reserve,

drive and set up motorized vehicles and trailers other than on an existing road or parking lot.

In addition, it is prohibited without the permission of the County Administrative Board:

put up a board, sign, poster or permanently mark tracks,

carry out scientific studies or conduct environmental monitoring that involves marking, collecting, trapping or other impact on the natural environment,

use the area for organized competitions or exercises, camps or similar activities where the number of participants exceeds 50 people during the period 1 March to 1 June.
