Description
Vargberget in southern Njurunda is a great place in summer and winter. In winter you can ski on the large shingle fields and enjoy the view of Armsjön and the sea. Especially towards March, when it is possible to ski freely on the slopes. In summer it is a little harder to get around, but still the same great view. In the higher parts, the northern part of the mountain, there are plenty of blueberries. There are also cool block caves where children can crawl into a place and come out 20 m further away and 5 meters higher up. You can get to Vargberget from the E4 at Skedlovallen or from Nyråviken. You can also start at Åstjärnarna or from Orrsjön. More information is available in Sundsvall's Nature Guide
