Rankleven promenadslinga

The awesome viewing mountain Rankleven in Sillre makes for a very beautiful but also very challenging walk. From the road, there are signs to the reserve and the small parking lot at the end of the road is marked with a P. You can take the bus to the Södra Sillre bus stop and from there walk to the start of the trail. From the parking lot, you can follow signs to the reserve and the path that winds up the steep mountain. It is rocky and steep terrain, but well worth the challenge. At the top you are treated to an incomparable view of the valley. There are picnic tables, shelters and toilets. The forest itself in the reserve is also an experience. You walk in real old-growth forest. From the top, you can choose to walk the second (northern) path down. From the shelter you follow the slope over. The path then descends steeply and it is quite rocky, so be careful. Where the path comes down at a farm, turn right and follow a marked path that takes you past two other farms and back to the road. It will be a round trip of a little more than 3 kilometers, but be aware that it is very demanding terrain so it may take longer than you think.
