Description
Walking around Sidsjön is a popular and pleasant route with fine views out over the lake. It is flat terrain and smooth, graveled walkway so it is very suitable for those walking with a walker or stroller. Starting from the parking lot or the Glimmervägen bus stop, follow one of the footpaths down to the lake. There you join the footpath that runs around the entire lake. If you are going for a longer walk, you can combine the walk around the lake with following the exercise trail up into the forest. It's a peaceful stretch through beautiful forest and you also get away from people more. Down at Sidsjön there are many people walking, but on the round up in the forest you will be more alone. If you start by walking around the lake clockwise, when you have almost completed a full lap, you can turn off on the exercise trail that goes under the road and further up into the forest. It is a fairly long uphill but smooth and wide walkway to walk on. At the small pond Grodtjärn there is a rest area, here you keep right. You then come up in a more open forest with rocky areas and more pine before the trail starts to go downhill. Just where the trail makes a sharp turn to the left, there is a path into the forest straight ahead. You can follow this path out to Gnejsvägen. Then you can follow the roads back to the parking/bus stop
