Description
Edsele, with Byberget's towering silhouette, is our proud heritage and beautiful gem in the High Coast Inland in dramatic Ådalen. Make your way up to the top and enjoy stunning views at Byberget's peak, 318 m above sea level.
The distance up is about 1.5 km but it is steep in places. Ropes are available to help in some places. Choose to walk the precipice or take the passage that is a little kinder, but still requires some easier climbing.
You can park your car near the start of the trail. On your feet you should have well-laced shoes that fix easier climbing. Leave your flip-flops at home.
A coffee break at the top gives you an adorable view of the neighborhood. There are logs to sit on right at the edge of the cliff. Please note that despite a fireplace, there is a fire ban during the bare ground season. If you have children or a dog with you, be careful on the cliff edge.
While you're in Edsele, and that's during July and August, you should also take the opportunity to visit the mine in Edsele. Then you get two cool excursion destinations on the same day.
The trail is well marked with signs and orange color marking on the trees.
