Description
After a challenging hike of about 1.2 km, you will reach a fantastic lookout point. At the top of the mountain there is a cabin where you can make a fire in the fireplace and eat your packed lunch. Also take the opportunity to write a line in the guest book in the cabin. In winter, the mountain is reached via well-prepared snowmobile trails.
Selsknösen is one of the Ten Peaks of Tavelsjö.

The first part is an old tractor road and then higher up more rocky parts.
Parking
Parking is available from the Selet side. Signposted up towards Selknösen
Directions
Take the E12 towards Vännäs and turn right at Slöjdarnas Hus in Vännäsby. Drive towards the village of Selet and just after the village see the parking sign on the right.

Det går bra att sova i stugan. Det finns gott om plats, men inga madrasser. Vatten finns inte heller i närheten.
Riktigt välbyggt torn med fantastisk utsikt! Olåst stuga för besökare finns nedanför tornet. Skoterled går förbi så platsen är nog mest välbesökt vintertid. Kommer man till fots sommartid är det trevligare att gå upp från Tavelsjöhållet. Den stigen startar dock en bit in på en privat skogsväg i Djupbäck och ägaren av marken uppskattar inte parkerade bilar så skyltningen av den stigen har tyvärr plockats ner.
