Biergienas-Dávtájávrrie, Ammarnäs närleder

This hike starts from Biergienas and goes to Lake Dávtájávrrie. The hike goes through mountain birch forest and reaches the bare mountain. The moors of Björkfjäll are suitable for beginners. There are easily climbed peaks and beautiful small streams. There are often plenty of birds just after the ice and snow have started to melt away.

For a long time, reindeer have walked along Björkfjället. Traces from today run parallel to those from the past. Autumn and spring signs remain from a time when reindeer herders traveled with their reindeer between summer and winter pastures. At Biergiena's reindeer enclosure, there are traces of the modern means of transportation used in reindeer husbandry. But the slaughterhouse has long been boarded up.

The small, bathing-friendly lake Dávtájávrrie has a fine shoreline, almost a sandy beach. The stream by the lake invites you to play, and it's a good place to take a break when the weather permits.
