The park and its elegant manor house were once the property "Ekeby" in Gösta Berling's Saga, one of Nobel Prize winner Selma Lagerlöf's most famous works. Today, it is a beautiful park garden with flowers and sculptures. In the adventure park, there is plenty of room for children to roam and play. Every year, gardeners are invited to design innovative and artistic flower beds in the Idea Garden. Rottneros Park borders the lake Fryken, offering some amazing views of the local landscape.

Right next to the park, you will find "Berättarladan" (The Story-Telling Barn) where Västanå Theatre puts up a very popular production every summer, premiering on Midsummer's day.
