Description

Kristinehamn's oldest stone house is a real historical jewel! It was built by Regina Nordenfeldt in 1771, after the previous wooden building was destroyed by fire.

Duke Karl had a royal manor built on the same site in the 1570s. In part of the cellar there are old vaults that may date from that time.

The city's elite once lived here - later it became a poorhouse. Today, the house has been carefully renovated by private owners.

With its broken roof and arched gable ends, the house has withstood both fires and the ravages of time.
