Frälsningsarméns borg, Spelmansgatan 23

After the fire of 1893, the Salvation Army built a new house - in stone, for safety. The result was a building in the Scottish medieval style, with stepped gables and small 'towers' with battlements. The style was appreciated by the English bourgeoisie of the time. The house really has the character of a safe little castle.

Since 1977, it has housed modern meeting rooms and a café within its sturdy walls.
