Description
Vattunödsleden is 5.1 kilometers long and takes you through open farmland, sheep-grazed pastures and small hilly forests. The trail is relatively easy to walk as it mainly follows smaller gravel roads. A shorter section of the trail consists of a newly established forest path (about 500 m) that is slightly uneven to walk on. The trail is marked with light blue color on posts, signposts and trees. To walk the entire route, start at the parking lot at Viby friluftsområdes or Vattunöden. The trail is not yet a circular loop and you will have to walk the same distance back to get to your starting point.
If you want to barbecue along the way, there are established barbecue areas at the entrance to Viby friluftsområdes, at Broby backar and at Vattunöden. Dry toilets are also available at the parking lots at Viby friluftsområde and Vattunöden. There are also some benches along the trail.
The Vattunöden trail has been created through the local nature conservation project Hitta ut i Håbo (LONA), which runs between 2020-2023 and is a collaborative project between Håbo municipality and Upplandsstiftelsen.
