Stage 20:1 is one of the Upplandsleden's newest stages. It starts in the small nature reserve Ingbo källor, which is directly adjacent to the much larger Östa nature reserve. In Östa there is camping, swimming at long sandy beaches, paths and barbecue areas etc. At Ingbo there are several spring lakes with crystal clear water bubbling up from the underground. Here the trail initially follows an accessible footbridge along the largest spring, before continuing on a path past some of the smaller springs further into the forest.
In general, this stage is very easy to walk as it follows paths and forest roads over sandy ground along Masteråsen. There are some rocky sections in the first three kilometers, on the stretch between Ingbo and Tärnmossen.
After Tärnmossen, the trail follows a wide path along Masteråsen, an elongated pebble ridge that stretches from south of Lake Mälaren, via Heby and Tärnsjö and further north. In a small sandy area at the foot of the ridge there is a picnic area with bench tables.
The walk continues towards Råsbo along a path and forest road through airy pine forest with lots of blueberries and lingonberries. You pass Kungskällan, where it is said that King Fredrik I stopped to water the horses during a bear hunt in the area.
The stage ends in Råsbo. There is parking at Nybyggarland, 200 m to the right when you reach the road through Råsbo. If you turn left instead, after 400 m you will reach the highway where there is a bus stop.
Services in Östa nature reserve: Camping with kiosk, bathing areas, picnic areas, barbecue areas etc.
Services in Råsbo: Parking, bus stop
