Description
Tedarön is a nature reserve on an island in Hjulstafjärden. You can only get here with your own boat.
A path runs around the island, which is several kilometers in size and rich in variety, and leads you through a deciduous forest with tooth root and witch hazel, over rocks with fine views, past comically shaped pine trees and under hazel bushes. The delicate white flowers of the witch hazel smell like elderberries when you get close. There are plenty of large oaks, both living and dead.
The fine smooth bathing rocks, the rich flora and the singing bird life on the island make Tedarön a real gem. The old burial grounds indicate that the place has been popular for a very long time. Today, only Tedarötorp remains as a settlement. The oldest houses there probably date from the late 1700s.
On Tedarön there are three picnic areas with fireplaces and bins.
Service Information signs, fireplaces. You can camp on Holmudden in the far west.

Kul ställe att besöka. Stigarna och ledmarkeringarna är bitvis svåra att följa.
