Description
The blue trail winds through the hilly and hiking-friendly forest on Bålstaåsen next to Bålsta station. The trail is a circular loop of 2.8 kilometers that follows existing forest trails. Along the way there are some benches and two barbecue areas.
The trail is marked with light blue color on trees and signposts and starts / ends at the notice board that stands just north of the scout hut (Ullevivägen 74).
The blue trail has been created through the local nature conservation project Hitta ut i Håbo (LONA), which runs between 2020-2022 and is a collaborative project between Håbo municipality and Upplandsstiftelsen.
At the start/end of the blue trail, you can also start your hike on the Upplandsleden trail towards Häggeby (about 13.5 kilometers) or walk a shorter round loop of the Upplandsleden trail by walking the Björkbacka loop (5 kilometers). Hälsans stig also passes here. There are also many unmarked trails on Bålstaåsen, so go exploring!
