Description
The northern shore of Östa is a long sandy beach surrounded by dry land with old gnarled pines. Some of the pines have small hatching holes for the rare and beautiful beetle, the eight-spotted beetle. The beetle is completely dependent on old pines that stand freely so that the sun can warm up the trunks and roots.
The beach is 200 m from the nearest parking lot, follow the yellow and red marked path through the forest. There is also a shelter, picnic table and barbecue area on the beach.
Östa beaches is one of Uppsala County's favorite places in nature. A nature spot is an area with high natural and outdoor values that is accessible to visitors.

Directions
Östa nature reserve is located west of Tärnsjö and north of Heby.
By car: There are signs from road 56 south of Tärnsjö. When you enter the reserve, continue to follow the road straight ahead. Just after the campsite is a parking lot on the right side. From here, follow the red/yellow path north to get to the northern beach.

En av de bästa badplatserna i Uppland. Långgrunt och bra sandstrand. Nära till gratis parkering. På eftermiddagen kan tallarna skymma solen, men på eftermiddagarna ligger solen på perfekt.
