Description
You can go to Aspbo all year round. Here you can go for a refreshing swim, have a barbecue by one of the fireplaces, have a picnic in the green grass or go cross-country skating on the frozen lake.
Aspbo has two parking lots, one at the smaller western bath (Aspbo 1) and one at the larger eastern bath (Aspbo 3). The forest used to be pasture land and animals have grazed here for a long time. Now the land is covered by a mixed forest of pine, birch and other deciduous trees.
An old spruce plantation has recently been felled at the western bathing area, so the parking lot is currently next to a coppice. The idea is that a new forest with many deciduous trees will grow here.
Aspbo is also a special place, we call it Aspbobadet. Special places are areas with high nature and outdoor values. There are two nice bathing areas with lots of grass for the blanket. The eastern bath is larger and has a sandy beach. The well-trodden Upplandsleden trail runs between the baths.
Feel free to bring your picnic basket. There are both grassy areas by the bathing areas and small rocks among the trees to sit down on. There are fireplaces near both bathing areas.
A 2 km long loop of the Upplandsleden trail, loop 11:2, runs through the area. It takes you along the water past the two baths and through the hilly forest. The easiest place to start is at the large, eastern parking lot. Just before the parking lot, towards the road, there are arrows to the path.
Services: Two large parking lots, bathing areas, fireplaces with wood storage, picnic tables, dry toilets at the bathing areas, accessible toilet at the eastern bathing area. Camping is free on the mown grass area east of Aspbo 3.
