Description
Tornberget is the county's highest natural point at 111 meters above sea level. The new tower offers an extensive view of the oldest parts of the county, the land that first rose out of the sea. In the beginning, there were a few barren islands in the sea. Over time, it became more and more solid land. The tower offers views of the forests of Hanveden. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Baltic Sea, where today's archipelago is located.
The viewing tower was inaugurated in 2018 and is 10 meters high. Some bench tables are placed near the tower. The tables have a metal surface for an outdoor kitchen or a field grill. Please note that it is not permitted to make open fires on the rocks, as this risks damaging the rock.
There have also been towers on the mountain in the past. An air surveillance tower from the Second World War that was demolished in 1981. And a fire watch tower.

Tornbergsslingan som går hit är stenig med mycket rötter, inget för barnvagn. Vägen är väl uppmärkt och utsikten är väldigt fin!
