Strandstig Trolldalen, Sättsjö, Kyttinge

Simple path, partly nature trail and partly over lawns and through thickets and via small roads and cycle paths, but nice beach access along Lidingö's northwest coast. In Trolldalen (small sandy beach and jetty) and at Sättsjö (wooden jetty with ladder) fine opportunities for swimming. The Trolldalen settlement is idyllic and the forest between Sättsjö and Kyttinge is old and attractive with many pine trees on mountainous ground. At Kyttinge there are two sensitive passages where the land looks private with lawns, seating, boat mooring and some low walls and low fences. It may be easier to walk on Kräftvägen where the beach looks private. But along the beach path, the land closest to the water is public land and if you stay closer than 5 meters from the shore, you can be sure not to enter private land. See pdf, map of property boundaries in case of uncertainty. Be considerate of residents, as you are walking close to their properties. There are better places for resting and swimming. A narrow passage along a wall up to Kräftvägen ends the beach path around the cape. Then you can follow Kräftvägen to the Lidingölopps track and take the track back to Trolldalen.
