Sticklinge naturreservat

Sticklinge nature reserve was established in 2023 and is 108 ha in size. The reserve is located in the northwestern part of Lidingö and covers a varied landscape with forests, coastal stretches and grasslands. Nowhere else on Lidingö is there such a large contiguous area with high natural values as in Sticklinge. The area's high values are of great importance for biodiversity. Not least the old oak environments with giant trees, as well as coniferous and mixed forests with plenty of old pines, are important habitats and substrates for flora and fauna. The nature reserve also offers a rich and varied outdoor life with hiking-friendly berry and mushroom forests, beaches and unexploited beach sections. There are also culturally significant areas and Lidingö's oldest burial ground. The Lidingölopp trail and several paths run through the area, and there are also barbecue areas and windbreaks.
