The forest in the reserve is affected by spruce bark beetle. Avoid staying in areas with many dead spruces. Trees and branches can easily fall to the ground.

Description

A hiking trail with a section of raised wooden walkway around the little bog lake of Grundsjön. The loop winds through bogland and enchanting swamp forests where orchids, cloudberries and cranberries grow. Hanging lichens adorn the forest branches.

The reserve is home to many birds such as owls, woodpeckers, capercaillie, black grouse and cranes. Hiking boots or rubber boots are recommended since it can be quite wet.
