Måndalsfortet

Måndalsfortet was a defense facility located on Måndalshöjden next to Måndalsstigen in Tyresö. The fort was part of the Southern Front that was built just before and during the First World War.

The Southern Front and the Northern Front, also known as the Korvlinjen, were an important part of Stockholm's permanent defense. One of the most well-preserved facilities is Måndalsfortet, which began construction in 1903 and was part of the defence organization until 1952.
