Österåker's seven wonders: Roslags-Kulla church

Welcome to discover the seven wonders of Österåker! They are some of our most breathtaking places in Österåker municipality.

Roslags-Kulla church is a cross-shaped church in red-colored wood with a tower-like structure over the middle section. It looks much as it did when it was built, except that a tiled roof has replaced the original shingle roof.

The church is located near Wira Mill. Across the road from the church is the school and parish hall. The church was consecrated in 1706 and was commissioned by Fabian Wrede, then owner of the nearby Östanå castle. It replaced a chapel from the 1600s.

The seven wonders of Österåker are:

  • Biskopstuna castle ruin
  • Husarö village
  • Roslags-Kulla church
  • Rydboholm castle
  • Siarö Fortress
  • Wira mill
  • Åkers canal
