Description
With Upplevelsestråket you can get close to nature and experiences in the municipality in an easy way. The trail runs along the old waterways between Saltsjön and Mälaren, which were already used for transportation in Viking times.
The route is divided into twelve stages and has a total length of just over 40 kilometers.
In Frestadalen, mowing is carried out to increase the number of plants and animals in the valley. Annual mowing also provides winter feed for the cows in the adjacent pasture. Fresta is one of Upplands Väsbys original parishes. The church dates from the 13th century and there are a large number of rune stones to experience up close.
The experience trail is a collaborative project between Upplands Väsby municipality, associations and landowners.
