Fornborg Borgberget

Fortress on the Viking route to the capital of the time in Uppsala. The fortress was placed in a high position on Borgberget to defend against invaders and provide protection.

Remains are found on the site from the ancient castle in the size of 150x120 m next to the slope down to Kyrksjön. The crest edges are provided with a stone wall. The rampart is widest towards the west where there is also an entrance. The rampart is partly overmossed and slightly over-turfed and relatively heavily collapsed. The interior of the castle is relatively hilly towards the rocky crests and moraine sinks.

There are also two house foundation terraces and cultural layers.
