Description

Upplands Väsby rests on a great treasure of remains from our ancestors. To preserve, make accessible and make visible this cultural treasure, the municipality is working to create 'ancient parks'. Within the area, we carry out haymaking and grazing, fence in, put up signs, inform and engage local residents.

In Eggeby ancient park you can watch fallow deer, experience ancient remains and exercise in Brunnby Vikspåret. The area can be reached via one of the entrances marked on the map.

About 70 adult fallow deer live in Eggeby ancient park. Through their grazing, the deer keep the landscape open and promote the area's protected trees.

Parking

You can park at Vikskolan or at Wäsby Golf. From Vikskolan's parking lot, it is about 400 meters walk to the park's nearest western entrance. From Wäsby Golf's parking lot, it is about 750 meters walk to the nearest eastern entrance of the fence.

Take bus 531 or 568 from Upplands Väsby station. With bus 531 (Brunnby Vik), get off at Tunavägen and walk about 800 meters northeast. With bus 568 (Löwenströmska sjukhuset), get off at Hammarby apotek and walk about 1400 meters northeast.
