Description

The Dammstakärrsrundan trail is a 10.8 km loop through both easy and slightly more challenging terrain. Follow the orange trail markers. Part of the route is a designated bike path. Along the trail, you'll pass several picnic areas with a shelter and a grill. The trail is named after the forest pond, Dammstakärret. In the spring here, you can hear the desolate cries of the black-throated loon. During the summer, you may be lucky enough to spot one of the bright yellow-green flowers of the rare bog orchid. This orchid is the reason why the area has been designated a Natura 2000 site and part of the EU's network for protected nature.

A part of the trail is designated for mountain biking. This includes the stretch from the parking lot south of Dammstakärret up to Bogsättra, and then from Nibble to the parking lot north of Sundbyberg.
