Bonäsbadet och strandpromenaden

There is no doubt about what is Kallhällarna's most popular natural area - the promenade, of course!

The promenade stretches between Kallhäll station and the narrow Stäket Canal, which separates Järfälla from neighboring Upplands-Bro. At Bonäsbadet there are barbecue areas, grass areas, bathing jetties, playground and sandy beach. There is always life and movement here. Parents with prams, cyclists and exercisers enjoying the beautiful walking and cycling path next to the sparkling waters of Lake Mälaren.

In April and May you can listen for the chaffinch. You will surely hear it, as the chaffinch is Sweden's second most common bird. If you listen carefully, you can hear it singing "yes yes I live in Järfälla I". Other birds also thrive along the walk and those who are attentive can see and hear many different species.

In the middle of the stretch between Kallhäll and Stäket there is an outdoor gym. Take the opportunity to exercise while enjoying the view of the water.

Bonäs

Along the walk, you can't miss the large red villa located on a headland in Lake Mälaren. Bonäs farm used to be located here. The villa was built in 1906 as a summer villa for a bank manager. The then owner of Almare-Stäket manor tried to turn Stäket into an exclusive villa community. The villa, which is a private residence, is built in the National Romantic style that was common at the turn of the last century. There are several similar houses in the settlement of Stäket.

Dogs are not allowed at Bonäsbadet (except in the swimming pool). There is a special dog pool at Ängsjö outdoor area.

Barbecues may only be used in designated barbecue areas.
