Nåttarö: Snorkelled och badplats

The municipality's only snorkeling trail is located on Nåttarö. The trail is marked with yellow buoys and runs along the beach north of Waxholmsbryggan. It offers both bathers and nature lovers a new way to discover the interesting nature underwater. Information signs near the bottom tell you about eelgrass meadows, seaweed belts and seaweed forests. These are important spawning and nursery habitats for fish and other animals. The waters around Nåttarö are unusually rich in species and fish such as turbot, flounder, pike and butterfish swim here, along with various shrimps, mussels and shells.
