Stadsparken

In the center of Katrineholm you will find Stadsparken, which was built in the late 1940s. It is also here that the famous wallpaper group in the Embroidery Garden is located. The wallpaper group has become known and appreciated, not only by the municipality's residents, but also by tourists and professionals from the rest of the country. Since its creation in 1977, the wallpaper group has never had the same pattern more than once.

The open-air stage right next to the outdoor seating in Stadsparken is used extensively during the summer months and the park has become a popular meeting place. Here you will find lots of beautiful plants but also a playground for the little ones, an activity park (outdoor gym) and insect hotels.

In late May and early June, the rhododendron and azalea plantings attract particular interest with their explosion of colorful flowers. During the summer months, the colors of annuals and perennials abound in various arrangements. The park also features several works of art: Morning, Foal, Mrs. Crocodile, Creature Square, Fall to Fall, Helen and Galago.
