Märsön, Naturreservat

In the northern part of Strängnäs municipality, on the border with Enköping municipality and Uppland, is the Märsön nature reserve

Here there is a very varied nature with lean rocky pine forest on the heights, deciduous forest in the lower parts and a varied shoreline down to Lake Mälaren. The nature reserve is a long narrow headland in Lake Mälaren, which is partly hilly.

In the area you can experience a natural forest feeling with a great diversity of tree species. There are no prepared paths or rest areas but there are some older routes to follow. There are many nice places where you can take a break or perhaps take a dip.

You can experience the feeling of a natural forest with old trees and you can hike through many different types of forest in partly hilly terrain with nice viewpoints. There are also many different species to discover and study for those interested.
