Description
Hisseåsen is a pebble ridge. It forms the southernmost part of the Glindranåsen ridge which is about 2 miles long. Hisseåsen is 700 meters long and was protected because it is geologically interesting.
Hisseåsen has a very distinct ridge shape and it has elongated ridge trenches and ridge pits. The small Skirsjön lake is located in a ridge pit to the east of the ridge and there is a bog on the western side. The ridge is mainly covered in pine forest. A road runs along the crest of the ridge, making it easy to reach.
