Disc golf is a combination of Frisbee and golf - close to nature. Each hole has a throwing spot called a 'tee' - where you start. You then have to reach the target on the course, which is a basket, one throw at a time. At each starting point, there is a description of how to get to the target at that particular hole. The obstacles are made up of trees, bushes, rocks and differences in height.

In the deciduous forest area around Duveholmshallen and Backa strand, we are making efforts to promote biodiversity and at the same time we have built the new disc golf course. Among other things, we have cut down trees and cleared undergrowth and bushes. We are restoring former pastures and meadows and taking advantage of particularly important trees and giving them space to grow big and strong.

Parts of the disc golf course run through a fenced pasture. Sheep graze here, partly to keep the landscape open and to benefit biodiversity. The project is on trial during the summer of 2021 and will then be evaluated.
